Mr. McMinn has been in private practice since May of 1987 under the name of McMinn Land Surveying Company. The firm was incorporated in June of 1988.

McMinn Land Surveying Company offers the following Professional Land Surveying Services: Boundary Surveys, Farm and Ranch Surveys, Commercial, Residential, Title Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Tree Surveys, Construction Staking services, Route Surveys, Subdivision Platting, Easement Creation and Vacation Surveys, Forensic Surveys, Expert Witness Testimony.

Prior to 1987, Mr. McMinn worked as Vice-President and Director of Surveying for Mesa Surveying Company (1985-1987), Director of Surveying for Byrn & Associates, Inc. in Austin, Texas (1984-1985), and Field Crew Coordinator and Senior Surveying Technician for Byrn & Associates, Inc. in San Marcos, Texas (1979-1984). In each of these engagements, Mr. McMinn performed the same types of services as he has at McMinn Land Surveying Company.

Mr. McMinn was an instructor in the Land Surveying Department at Austin Community College in 1989 and 1998-2004. He taught Surveying Legal Principles I and II and Basics of Land Surveying.

Mr. McMinn is married and lives in Austin, Texas.
